現在簡單式的第三人稱單數時，一般的動詞字尾都是加 "-s"，但有些動詞的字尾卻要加 "-es"，通常都是：ch、ss、x、sh、o 為字尾的。

Mr. Liang is our teacher. He teaches us math.
Father polishes his car every Sunday.
George often goes to the library on Saturday.
