It is usually cold in January. -----> O
it is usually cold on January. -----> X
in和on都是介系詞，都可用來表示時間，但用法卻不相同，表示〈在〉某月份要用"in"，不能用"on"。
《 in 》
1. 在一天的某個時段：in the morning / in the afternoon / in the evening
2. 在某月份：in March
3. 在某年份：in 1997
4. 在某季節：in spring / in summer
《 on 》
1. 在星期⋯：on Monday / on Tuesday
2. 在某日期：on May 4th / on january 22nd 2002
3. 在星期⋯的早上/下午/晚上：on Friday morning / on Wednesday afternoon / on Sunday evening
I usually get up at ten o'clock on Sunday.
Christmas is in winter.
